Hello Clakers

Hello Clakers

Hi Clakers! Here we have a few fun and creative activities

Vegetable stamps

For this activity you need to cut a variety of fruits and/or vegetables into half: Lemon, okra, corn cob, apple, capsicum and few small potatoes, etc., paper, paint brushes and a variety of colours of acrylic paint.

*You can also use a cookie cutter and/or carve out any shaped stamp you’d like out of a potato.

You can stamp them on white paper and make wrapping paper, decorate letters, envelopes and much more!

Sticker lines

Fine motor skill activity with just paper and dot stickers.

All you need is:
1. Draw different forms of lines across your butcher paper. Think waves, zigzags, loops, etc.

2. Tape the paper to the table using paint tape or masking tape.

3. Have your kids cover the lines with stickers! That’s it! Set up take 5 minutes.

Fine motor skills strengthen little hands so that our kids can perform everyday tasks like writing, grasping objects, using scissors, and feeding themselves.

From seed to plant

Take a piece of cotton and put it in a clear glass. Then take a second piece of cotton, stretch it without breaking it, and put the seed on it. Then close it and put it in the glass.

Using a spray bottle, moisten the cotton with water (without getting it too wet). Leave the glass in a place that receives light.

In 5 days you will begin to see a little plant!

Balls in a muffin tray

This activity is great from as young as 6 months. You can add more challenges as they grow up.

If your little one is not able to identify the colours, or match the colours quite yet, the fact that they are getting an opportunity to watch YOU do it, and hear you talk about the different colours is great exposure and is how they will eventually learn to do it themselves.

Have your little one use some sort of a plastic scoop, or large serving/mixing spoon to work on scooping up one ball at a time, and transferring it into the muffin tin. Scooping and transferring is great for building hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills!
